This Dirk is based on the early brass hilted dirks but made from workshop scraps. The blade is pattern welded out of 15N20, 1095, broken bandsaw blades, and some bright steel. The main body of the hilt is gunmetal bronze and copper, forge welded together with a twist. The central heart and saltire is the first copper test piece that I made for the scabbard mounts of The Elizabeth Sword, which is now displayed among the Crown Jewels in Edinburgh Castle. The scabbard is an unique open design, for showing off the patterned blade. Not yet up for sale.
