Introducing: The Scottish Jacknife
Few realise that the universal term 'jacknife', or folding knife, is of Scottish origin. A legal version of this traditional hunting style folding knife has been long overdue. UK law requires:
-a cutting edge of less than 3 inches (the Jacknife comes in at 2.9")
-non- locking (nearly all Single Hand Openers are, but not the Jacknife!)
-'non aggressive' (it is a traditional, all- purpose knife, so reasons to carry include cutting boxes, fingernails, toothpick, etc;)
Massive compared to all others due to it's 3/16" (5mm) thick blade and brass fittings, you will know when it's in your pocket. This knife is for those who have been searching for something heavy duty, only to be let down by a modern market of light duty blades punched out of thin sheet steel by machines in factories. The blade and spring of the Jacknife is completely forged by hand, hardened and tempered, out of 440C Stainless Steel for a supreme cutting edge. Time was taken to ensure that the blade and spring do not contact each other at closure, and a tight fit when open, requiring significant pressure to close again. Completely hand crafted, even the brass rivets peened between hammer and anvil. Each is unique with a blacksmithed blade, it's own serial number, and real Scottish Highland Red Deer antler.
A very rare collector's item as it is part of a limited collection worldwide.
