Started working on the hilt decoration of the Govan short sword. Because the stone carving depicting the sword dates back to the viking era, I thought some viking style copper inlays would be fitting. These are very slow and time consuming, but I have the channels cut in the steel now and have begun hammering in the copper.
I also have the carvings for the ebony wood grip drawn on, based on the elements seen on the 9th century stone carvings at Govan.
