The hilt

Pieces and parts are coming together for the hilt. The crossguard and pommel (as well as the blade) are meant to be exact replications of the original Bruce State Sword which is held at the Broomhall house, only about two miles away from the forge. The grip is of bog oak, as the original, but carved with emblems associated with Robert the Bruce. The carvings are just roughed in at this point but should be finished this week.
